Not winning basketball games can make any player not happy. Whether the team is run through him or not.

That's not true at all. I talked to him yesterday and Rahshon talked to him today. Wes is a great friend and he hasn't blown anyone off....Except the people he knows just want info.

It does seem rather odd....i think Wes at least owes his coaches, players, university, and fans an explanation.
which im sure he will once he signs with another school | | |

It is nice to have someone with a little knowledge of the situation give us some insight as to what's going on. Thank you.

Well that contradicts several players and people I've talked to as recently as 15 minutes ago. I wish him the best but what he did and who he did it to is below everything I thought he stood for. I understand if you want to defend him, I'm not trying to say he's a bad person, I'm actually shocked because I thought he was a much better person than what I've learned has happened over the past week.
To do things the way he did isn't excusable, regardless of how good of friends you were/are with him. I wouldn't defend my wife if she did something like this and I sure as heck wont defend a player either.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player. |

They have probably been talking to him on the crakberry since their new staff arrived from the Big 12.

Unless the information coming from the coaching staff about being "shocked" isn't accurate, along with him not returning any of the staff's phone calls.
Something isn't quite right here.

I don't care that he left. If he wasn't happy, fine. He slipped out like a little punk and told no one. He didn't even have the balls to tell his coaches who gave him the opportunity to play major D-1 basketball. He is a coward, plain and simple.

What was he not happy about Ames in general, the team, the coaches...the fans (as meltdown freakish as we can be)?
Do facilities and W's make WJ that much more happy? W's yes but I think there are a lot more uncertainties at UK than here at ISU. ISU WJ knew he was going to be the guy with the ball in his hands for the last shot. At ISU WJ knew he would be the in the limelight on and off the court. Cant say that about UK...and if he thinks ISU fans are crazy calling for people's throats lets not forget they were calling for Billy G's last year early in the season.
And if he wasnt happy why keep it a big secret???? Why not let anyone in on it...doesnt make much sense to me WJ didnt seem like the outcast on the team.
