Hey since you guys have given up on the Basketball team, do any of you have great tickets I could buy cheap?? Something close to the floor. I can get balcony, so it must be close to the floor.

Should be a fun time in Hilton considering it might only be me, the team, and a few lonely strays that still believe in the team.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. ~ George Carlin

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life:
The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers

When Revkah and I renew our tickets, how close will we be to the throne? I can take my shoes off, if that helps you out

You can bang my rep all you want if that makes you feel better, but if you don't think that WM assisted his former players in transferring to other programs then you are kidding yourself.

I think you renewed to early... I'm guess on court side here by the end of the week. I would sure enjoy company.

    Hostile times in Cyclone Country....

I don't think there is anyone out there who isn't at least concerned about what has happened. I am concerned. However, I still believe we have some quality players who can make something out of this coming season. Staiger, Brackins, Garrett, Buckley, Eikmeier, VDB, Thompson, etc.

I know we all feel sad and betrayed by WJ's actions, but it might be a good time to stay away from message boards for some of us for a few weeks...

Re: Is it fair to have some doubts about McD at this point?

It's fair to have doubts. Something this big is impossible to ignore. HOWEVER, one would be wrong to completely abandon hope for the coming season. I strongly believed this would be a break out season... But with WJ gone, I think we could finish a few games above .500.

I'm not a Mac apologist, I'm a believer in the team, and if you're hung up over one (albiet significant) player leaving and believe that the team is nothing without him, you're discrediting the rest of the players and the potential they have. Now is NOT the time to jump ship.

If we as fans are worrying about his job security what do you think recruits are thinkings? There is a McDonalds All-American in Ames, IA and we might be in a coaching transition the year he is graduating, that can't be good.

At this point, it would be naive not to have doubts.

I have no doubt that he did. ANY COACH IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY WOULD HAVE DONE SO IF THEY WANTED OUT, INCLUDING GREG.

But to say that he "orchestrated the gutting of the team" is completely ridiculous.
