I was in Las Vegas for those games and the only thing I can point to is a blowup between WJ and McDermott in a TV timeout in which McDermott laid his hands on Wes jerking him around. In McDermott defense Wes had said something to McDermott coming off the court and McDermott apologized after the TV timeout was over.
It just strikes me as odd that this incident could have been the reason WJ transferred. Especially when you consider that the night before ISU has played its best game of the season in beating Purdue. More so somebody else was in his ear after the game.

I can't find anyone on Kentucky's staff w/ ties to Alabama so maybe it was a scouting thing....probably Ashlee Judd!!

The only connection between Alabama and Gillespie at Kentucky is James Holland who is currently an assistant coach at Alabama (just finished his second year) and also coached under Gillespie at UTEP. Quite frankly if Wes decides to attend Alabama I would feel really sorry for him. They are consistently one of the most underachieving and non-coached teams in America. As Bill King on Rivals Radio says "All Gotfried consistently does is roll the balls onto the court." No coaching whatsoever. I really hope someone from Alabama didn't get into his ear.

Maybe we could call CSI Vegas. Certainly Grissom and Willows could figure it out for us...

The difference is that his scenario could be possibly damaging to another program or an ex-player, while yours is damaging to OUR program and staff IMO

to KG and Cyfan13 I say... **** or get off the pot. i'm tired of this "bait and then you guys figure it out" crap. it's like your wife assuming you have this magical power to read thier mind because everybody knows men should be able to anticipate your girl's thoughts. So, i'll do what I usually do, leave the room and come back when someone has something real to say.

I think there was a thread over in gaming forum that you have not mentioned this at yet if you want to hit that one up too.
