Were you on the team the last couple years? Because last time I checked, you had to be on the team to know if it was a fun experience or not. I know Ross Marsden decently well and he always enjoyed playing but knew his calling in life was from academics, not basketball.

I make sure to stop haveing fun at 6:30, and then I go home.
I get what you're saying, here. It does seem like a real shame that it had to be like this for a classy man's last two years. All of us would really wish better things for him.
The thing I hope that is straightened out is to find out the source of the trouble. I'm not going to point fingers at all, and I've certainly been against doing that. I just hope that all parties involved look in the mirror and ask themselves if they are doing all they can. Not because they don't, but because it's always a good practice.

Sir, this is when you have to respect everything Rahshon did for ISU, he stayed not knowing what to expect, and left ISU as an all time fan favorite. One that will certainly not be forgotten. There are some good people out there who aren't going to bail if everything isn't perfect. However, knowing that Marcus Brister and WJ left because of problems with the staff, I am hoping something changes soon for the overall integrity of the ISU basketball program.

What are you referring to 33? Integrity of players, coaching staff, both? Is the problem that McDermott is a strict disciplinarian, and the players don't like that?

Bobby Knight used to treat his players like crap and yet they all stayed. There are alot of soft kids anymore.

I respect him more than any other Cyclone, ever. I just feel bad that he had to go out like he did, and this whole situation amplifies that feeling.

He didn't get a ton of wins his last few years, but he was a team leader, he got to stay close to his fiance, and he undoubtedly built a legacy here. There are a lot of fans who are not going to ever forget about Rahshon Clark. That means something.

He would tear them down and then build them up, people never saw the praise and love he showed because it isn't as fun in the media as his antics.

Even so, the players were man enough to take it.

He is a great Cyclone, no doubt about it.
However, when things are bad enough that the best player on the team, who is by all accounts a great kid, just packs up and leaves, it tells me things in the MBB program might not have been very pleasant.

There are a lot worse things one can go through than to get a free education to play a sport you love...regardless of your team's record.

So what exactly are you hoping changes 33? Because to me if you're talking about getting rid of McD, we would be caving to the demands of Daddy Brister who pitched a facebook fit when he left, and Johnson who didn't even have the stones to tell the staff himself. To me that says that Wes knew he wasn't completely in the right if he couldn't face up to it. If you're talking a coaching change the only direction to head that would fix this kind of crap is back to Morgan style. If we're going down that road Pollard would be feeling the heat that he had to go back to how things were before. I think we need to have some kids with accountability that aren't spoiled punks thinking they're owed the world because they can make a few shots.

Sometimes you just cant find love for someone, I remember highschool football coaches that I hated because they had no respect for me in 4 years of starting. They treated me like an object and not a human being. I understand being strict. It is a good thing. However you need to bond with your players off court and make them feel welcome. I think this is something Greg needs to work on. Players need to look forward to spending long practices with their coach. Communication is key.
