This clears up a few things..
- Those claiming the injury played a role were incorrect. Also, there is now documented proof Wes visited two independent doctors that found the same results. That's "concrete".
- Wes didn't get along with Greg.
- His brother is playing a large role in this. IMO, too large.
- He claims he talked to teammates, yet did not state when.
- Claims Kentucky is not complete, has not talked to any teams.
My question is...
If he knew mid-season last year he was going to leave...why in the hell did he wait until the middle of May??? Thanks for leading us on, Wes - that is a below-the-belt move, no other way to put it.
I firmly believe the reason he waited was to get another team lined up. I may be wrong, but that's my opinion. Otherwise, there should've been no need to do this so late and rather abruptly - as well as leaving shortly after he signed papers for his lease and scholly.

Thank you for everything. I’m sorry.’’ Better late than never....It's good that he has started talking to people.
things must have been bad if he really has no clue where he will play next year.

It still stinks. Wesley admits he made up his mind to transfer months ago, and only now it is announced. His only message to the ISU community is through a quote in a newspaper.
All this article does is absolve the foot injury of any role in his decision to leave.

Wes completely screwed everyone involved in the basketball program over. He screwed over his friends on the team.
Right now, this is all spin. Of course he is going to say that he didn't get along with McDermott. I would like to believe that is false, but knowing our luck, it is not. I would like whatever he is on to make him that happy all of the time. Because I did not think you could fake being that happy when you are as miserable as he says he was.

Hopefully McDermott will address this issue at the press conference tomorrow. You can't coddle these kids all the time but you do need to strike a blance between disciplinarian and mentor.

Coach Mac likes diciplined team basketball. NBA wannabe's don't. Pretty simple really.

I guess the only question i have then is, If you made up your mind several months ago, why sign a lease and scholarship papers? Something is still fishy with this deal.

While the reporter said that Wesley made his mind up months ago, a quote to confirm that was not included. And if Wesley truly said that and the reporter did not follow up with asking him why he waited, then that's poor reporting.
I'm glad to see him say sorry. Better than nothing.

I think his brother needs to get his own life and quit running Wesleys. Just one man's opinion... | | |

Biggest question I have is why would he sign the scholarship letter on May 6th if he was planning to leave months ago?????? Did something happen sometime between the 6th and when he fled Iowa?
Other then that, my ranting is over. Good riddance.

I am really looking for someone to put all my anger in.....I am really hoping for the brother.

One reason for the transfer at this time is he just finished his second year of school. He could have announce prior to that I guess but it would probably be quite a distraction.
On the other hand he may well have been lining up another school, I don't know.
