How about giving some credit or having the press conference and facing it head on Face to Face....? The opening lines of the press conference was a apology for not immediately getting back to everyone, he wanted to respond and answer all questions not over the phone or by email......But In person

IMO that speaks volumes towards the issues of accountability, integerity and character.
