Can someone give me a good reason for Wes leaving?
Besides getting away from a relationship with McD that Wesley felt was "broken," what other reason could there be to leave like this? It can't be money, because Wesley was one great year away from making it. Now he's at least 2 years away. If I was a coach of another team that WJ wanted to join, I would be very skeptical of having to deal with Wesley's family.
If his family REALLY cared about what is best for him, they would have had him transfer two months ago so he could go to the school with the best possible situation for himself ON scholarship. They also would have told Wesley to have an adult meeting (Like C. Johnson) with McD. From interviews McD had with the media, it sounds like McD was fully committed to helping WJ get to the NBA after next season if it looked like he could get drafted. This shows McD really does have the best interest in mind of the player. This just shows whoever is giving WJ "advice" obviously wants some kickback.
Bottom line, I have been biased all week and would love for someone to tell me some reasons on how WJ leaving helps him. The only thing I can think of again is he is getting away from "sour" relationships.
At least with Mike Taylor, it appeared he was trying to do the right things, but his maturity just wasn't quite there. I heard MT called McD last night so it appears they still get along.

I already posted this article in another thread but found it very interesting. There are people out there that can get those that are close to Wesley to help him with some decision making. Others could be making money, not saying the brother, but it has/can be done.
I know when I was getting interviewed by newspapers, in trouble at school, bailing on friends, etc. I didn't usually hand the phone off to my brother. He is bigger and smarter, but I still tried my best to not let him speak for me....
