I think the primary problem is that in our society when things are tough it is easier to pack up and run and things are tough at Iowa State right now. It is important that in the recruiting process Coach finds guys that are tough minded and understand what Cyclone basketball means to the people even if they are not as talented. I have never been approached about joining the staff and not sure if these is the best place to share coach Eustachy stories if you know what I mean.

There are only about 15 or 20 kids a year that can get a shot whenever they want. Harrison is one of those kids he can do whatever he wants on a basketball court whenever he wants. You have to have skill and athletic ability to be a player like that. I see him playing the 2 or 3 in college.

I do not think anyone was necessarily behind it. Welsey had a very tough season with injuries, losing, ect. and probably thought it would be better to start over. The one thing people have to understand is that college basketball is a business and the amount of toughness it takes to stick out tough situations can not really be described unless you have been through it.

I would say about half of them are not doing the correct things. I do not necessarily believe they are crooked but they fail to hold many of the kids accountable on a daily basis but not very many of them are trying to get money out the deal or something. Most people truly just want to help the kids and the bad ones just make the others look worse

I have a great deal of respect for the entire coaching staff but we are not friends who grab dinner on a weekly basis. Much of the confusion has come from me not pushing Harrison towards Iowa State. I have a new job now and that is to help kids get better and provide them opportunities and I do not work for Iowa State so I need to support all of the schools when it comes to kids and recruiting even though I will always be a Cyclone.
