Pomlee Article
The story is from the 21st, but I didn't see this posted anywhere. Central's Pomlee uncertain of role with Cyclones / QCTimes.com -
Re: Pomlee Article
I'm starting to get my hopes up (always risky as a cyclone fan) for Pomlee. I like the idea of a rebounder and shot blocker on the team. I'd like to see him not red shirt this coming season and log some minutes and develop his offensive game. I think he could compliment Brackins nicely.

Re: Pomlee Article
With us losing our three best rebounders, I'd say there's no chance that Pomlee redshirts.

Re: Pomlee Article
I said from the start that I see Eric Coleman...just a little taller. Pomlee looks like a potential beast down low that will rebound, defend and block shots. Put him on ISU's weight program and he will be damn tough. Of course, he needs to expand his offensive game, but that is not super important with Brackins down there. Just a garbage man would be a huge help.

Now we just need to get Brackins to pass out of double teams...

I don't see a red-shirt in his future in my opinion. he brings what we are missing (if advertised correctly) in toughness and rebounding. If I were to guess I would think Hamilton is the only one redshirting this year since his game sounds similar to thompson & VDB, and he could use some strength training.

Re: Pomlee Article
Lets hope he develops faster than 2 season. He was highly talked of a few years ago then that fell off late. Maybe McD can motivate him and he can use that natural abality to help the team out right away. I like the quote about filling a roll on the team, looks like he maybe a team player. With Wes leaving I doubt there will be any redshirts expecally out of post players. Having someone that has a nack to rebound and block shots is always great and he will have to help in some ways right away. Lets hope he suprises us all and plays competive right away. This team does need a suprise player or 2 or 4 or 6.

Re: Pomlee Article
I'm hoping for a Jackson Vroman-esque player in Pomlee. Very athletic and should be able to rebound and defend well, possibly right away. Quite raw offensively early in his career, but I think he'll develop into at least a 10 ppg guy by his junior/senior years.

seems like someone we havent had in awhile
Stevie Johnson/Eric Coleman type player. Now if Mann can be a Brunner/JR Koch type player we will be set.

THIS IS JUST SPECULATION AND I AM IN NO WAY IMPLYING I HAVE INSIDE INFO............................But if I had to bet on which incoming recruit would be the first to leave/kicked off the team, my money is on Pomlee.

Re: Pomlee Article
Good grief, I hope he's better than Coleman. Coleman was a hard worker, but not a great athlete. I'm hoping for Damion Staple--as a senior--as a starting point.

Re: Pomlee Article
I think Pomlee is very underrated, and will probably play as he was projected to originally as a high school sophomore.
