A good article about Maymon from the Trib
Mid-Iowa Newspapers - Go Cyclones - Courtney Linehan
Sounds like he really liked the staff, but Marquette was just too good of an option.

Losing Johnson and not getting Maymon means little???????
I like that she is possitive but losing your best player and probably your best recruit in the same week means more than little.

Negedu, Brackins call your former teamate, I can always have hope

I thought I had never seen anything more ridiculous than those who thought losing Taylor wouldn't hurt us last year (there were even those who thought we would be better off without him because he tended to turn the ball over, if you can believe it), now everyone will rationalize the loss of Wesley Johnson.

That reminds me of the article where she points out like 18 things that have gone wrong, then says we shouldn't worry about it. It makes me chuckle.

There is a old saying, nice guys finish last. I am starting to get that feeling about GMac and co.

There's also an old saying that wallowing in self pity will get you nowhere.

THere is also a saying that if you lose your best player and best recruit it tends to suck.
Well maybe there was not a saying but now there is.

Don't worry...when he decides to transfer after his soph. season, we'll just contact his AAU coach and work a deal. -

You mean like Wes Johnson playing the 4? How bout Kenny Pratt? Hopefully Clinton Mann won't be mad that he's really undersized for his position.

Also everywhere I look has him listed as a SF (which is normally a 3) and I think 6'6 is plenty tall for a SF.
