Dr. Strangeclone
A title in an ode to one of my favorite moves....
I know a lot of you think I get down on the MBB program, a lot....especially if my rep is any indication. However, I made a post over at my blog saying why I'm optimistic, blindly, anyways. Dr. Strangeclone, or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Embrace the Basketball*Team - Clone Chronicles
I still doubt that this year will be an overwhelming success, but I do think that the sheer amount of new blood in (we have no one with more than one year playing in an ISU uni) will make this team interesting to watch if nothing else.
It really seems that if we do indeed switch to dribble drive, it's an offense that's got a big chance to make a big name out of my favorite player, Diante. To that end, we'll be so much better this year if we can just put the damn ball in the bucket.
But yeah, anyways, I'm not ALWAYS down on the program. -
Re: Dr. Strangeclone
We need players who want to take charge and not role players. Stinson is fgone, Taylor is gone, Jiri and Wesley are gone. We need a I want the ball type of player.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

I also think that CB needs to take this role and run with it...

DG has worked his butt off...He had some bad habits from high school. Nobody could stay in front of him in high school, so he was not forced to do things the right way.

I can remember the CrossCyed point-of-view BEFORE CycloneFanatic ever came around (guess that makes me old school :) )
I've always respected your basketball knowledge and your insight on ISU basketball. It's unvarnished, not the overly rosey, nor the overly sour view. Your opinion has always been based on facts first, then interpretation based on the facts. Not the other way around.
In short, i don't think you've got anything to apologize for. You're one of the best assets in the ISU Men's basketball media space.

I respect his opinion even if at times I disagree. Ultimately, he wants what's best for ISU basketball, and you just can't fault that.

There, I said it.

I help the team most by NOT playing, and an intelligent team leader/captain would have realized this immediately.
And hell yes that counts. Brains count for something too.
