I believe he came in from Indian Hills CC. He was over 7'. I'm not sure he made a full season as he either had trouble with grades or just plain trouble. Either way he has been playing overseas I think.

Maybe his wingspan is large if his neck is a foot long. | EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Oh... people will come Mr. Pollard. People will most definitely come.

Chris used to chat with us on the most popular (at the time) Cyclone board (I don't think CF had been built yet) and seemed to be a very nice fellow. He seemed to be genuinely concerned that he wasn't living up to expectations. I think he really hated leaving ISU.

Haven't there been a few troublesome players that have come out of Indian Hills? Maybe that just gives it a bad reputation and in people like Chris' case everyone just assumes the worst when he's gone. I could be way off base though. |

He had some personel issues that made it hard for him to stay. He made it past Christmas and I believe he even played against KU. Didn't go too well as I recall, Collison may have out matched him. |

Right after Eustachy left, a member of the local media (used to cover sports, does political/cultural stuff now - so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out who I'm talking about) told me that Chris was bipolar, and that part of his problems at ISU was that he either wasn't diagnosed yet or that he wasn't taking his meds at the time. It sounds like he was trying hard to make it at ISU, but his mind kept betraying him.
He always seemed like he had potential for greatness, and it's too bad that he left ISU before he got everything together. I hope he finds a way to the NBA through the D-league.
