And a year from now, Craig with two Big 12 seasons under his belt, and JVB and JH league veterans -- all 6-foot-10 and 240-pounds plus. Lookin' good! And, Clint Mann a veteran as well (6-7 or 6-8, 230 maybe?)
Ball-handlers DG, DB, and shooters Lucca, Ike and SC, and DDM elements to the offensive game plan. . . .
I see clearly why most fans here believe in the promise and the potential of this program.
Add JD and HB to the mix, who-eeeeee. . . .
I'm dreaming. I make no apology for it; my dreams are realistic. ;-)
I agree that this team has a nice variety of players! Shooters and now a big man. This is the first time in a while. It remains to be seen how effective they can be but it sure is a good sign.
Also I talked to Mann at the Capitol City League and I am guessing he is 6'6.

I'm extremely excited for every season to start because I'm a huge basketball fan and I love to watch the guys compete. With so many unknowns on the roster it will be fun to see how the team fits together and to see them develop. I don't have a whole lot of expectations for W's and L's but I'll be at 90% of the games next season.

I wish there was a way to take 40 pounds off that sounded as good tasting as his diet.

Oh, what I'm thinkin' is the dream right now is CB NOT going pro after this season--especially looking at how well so many players of similar talent (and freshman results) did in the NBA draft...
Still, by then L.A. and Justin should be ready to take over full time in the interior.
My question for anyone is, just how athletic is Justin? Ron Falenchek athletic? Dean Uthoff? Loren Meyer athletic? Better? Cato-esque?
And the "little brother" comment intrigued me as well. Basketball or football?

a friend of mine that coaches in the k.c. area is extremely high on mann. he said it's "so much fun to watch a white kid that's that athletic and can throw down on everybody". he thinks he's gonna be a beast for us. i hope he's right.

I just can't remember the last kid with his size that was a 'beast' in the Big 12.

Didn't catch the article, but it will be hard to keep up the image with an extra 40 lbs.

I sure hope thats not the case. I see him as the CJ replacement. Scores well around the hoop like CJ tried to do. He's leaner & meaner than CJ. Hopefully, he can be effective in the Big 12 against bigger guys, but it's too soon to know for sure IMO.
