MBB Season Ticket Renewal Forms Arrive

Got back from CR today and ours was in the mail. Must be postmarked by Aug. 1st to ensure same seats...or you can renew them online by Aug. 1st.

Prices for '08/'09 are the same as last year...

100 level - $495
200 level - $350
200 level (corners) - $99
Varsity (100 and 200 level) - $250

What u talking about reindexing in Basketball...You're way ahead of the curve on this one...... You're making me nervous......That will happen when the suites are put in.....I saw a presentation about 10 yrs ago where it looked like the first row of the Balcony over the suites is what is row 6 now, but no one wants to talk about that plan now. Am i wrong? don't think so

I think you're wrong..... they are reindexing Hilton this year too.

Nope, it happens this year, same as in football.

We are talking re-indexing, not re-seating. However, just like in football the donation seating level areas have been changed and to keep their seats many will have to up their donation.

For the Parquet this means many who have been grandfathered in under old $1,000 or $1,500 donations will need to do the minimum $2,500, or $5,000/year donation ($5,000 plus to sit in the two center court sections on each side).

According to the literature, it suggests that there were even some who were original football donors who had no donation needed for basketball seating in Parquet. The literature stated that they will now have to donate for basketball.

For balcony seating for many areas it means a minimum $1,000 donation (for center areas).

The suites are in the plan, but are down the road as far as being reality.

If everyone who needs to increases their donation to keep their seats it will help finances, but there will again be a number of donors who have already been giving more who will be unhappy if their seating options do not change.
Again, it will be a good thing, but could have some negative side affects.

Just the way it is.

As for the seating.... what are the odds of me getting screwed in MBB too? I already talked to Joan B and she said I can make my order conditional on getting parquet. If I don't move down in MBB ..... I likely won't be at Captains next year.

I have the $99 dollar seats..... I dont know if I should give them up in hopes of better seats or not.

I could buy the 'varsity ticket' as im in the 250 club.

We sit in th 4th row on the end and those aren't terrible.

Another note. Hopefully people who are getting moved because of high donation levels are not getting frustrated. Hopefully they are realizing how extremely lucky they have been to sit in a Big 12 basketball stadium down low for the extremely cheap prices they have been.

It makes for an interesting dilemma and discussion point.

Who should be more frustrated, those that might be moved because they have been paying less than $2,500 and sitting in Parquet, (and can keep their seats if they do match donations)

Or, those that have been paying $2,500 or more, for 3-5 (or more years) and are still sitting in the balcony and might not get moved down.

It makes me sad that college athletics have got to the point were you have to spend $3,000 to $5,000 for good basketball seats. I can't imagine who has that kind of money to spend on basketball tickets on top of football ball tickets for most of them as well...people ares starving in this world for gods sake.

Im sure its been that way for a long time, but we are slowly catching up. We as Clone fans have had it easy for a LONG time.
