I have avoided reading this thread but for some reason decided to read it today. I read the first page and that will be all I read.

However, this statement is absolutely ludicrous. I agree with USC being talked of as a perennial power IF WE ARE TALKING ABOUT FOOTBALL. However, we are talking about basketball. USC has never won a national championship in basketball and their coach has never coached a team past the sweet 16 round. KU and UK have 3 and 7 national championships respectively and are nearly universally considered top tier basketball schools.

Heck, if he is looking for teams that are currently in "championship mode"...he should look at UCLA (final four nearly every year recently), Florida, Duke, KU, UK, and UNC.

I wonder what he means about the campus being important...cute coeds or a scenic campus. I certainly believe ISU's campus to be among the most scenic but I have seen Duke's, UNC's, and KU's...all are very scenic.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

Scout.com: Harrison Barnes Profile
Harrison now has a UCLA offer, a Purdue offer, and strong interest from UNC.

He may have guys locked up or already on the roster at that position that he's made "promises" to. Just sayin'. He may have limited scholarships available and needs to focus on other positions.

Yes. Basically what scout is saying is that everyone is on equal ground with Harrison, where as before they were indicating that ISU had a slight lead. I wouldn't really worry about it, he probably just said everyone is equal and they took his word at face value.

As far as Carolina is concerned, I've heard that they only have one available scholarship left for 2010 assuming they land their last target in '09 and they have interest in a couple of SF's (Barnes, Roscoe Smith, and Travis McKie). My guess is that all 3 get an offer and it's first come first serve because that's how Roy likes to do things, but we'll see.
