Has coach had a chance to get to know the team pretty well yet, is he solidly integrated into ISU's recruiting efforts (does he know HB yet)? That sort of thing. What does your nose know? (grin)
Coach Robinson was a great steal. He has already helped us get in touch with a ton of quality recruits, most from the state of Illinois. The players like him, and he knows he will have to establish a solid relationship with HB to get him to come to ISU.

I don't know much about his recruiting, but I do know this: he is originally from Puerto Rico, and just moved to IC a few years ago, so I don't think Iowa will have that built in advantage.

Then there's also the fact that Coach Lickliter seems not to care about talent and athleticism, instead now just taking guys who "fit his system".

I have seen Suarez play many times, and EVERY game I have seen has included him getting at least one technical. Talented, but will need to learn to control his emotions.

I wouldn't say we're mopping up in terms of talent. I mean, we're outrecruiting Iowa, but that doesn't take much.

Yeah, we've just landed Brackins, Garrett, Wesley Johnson, Michael Taylor, and Jordan Dykstra...with the jury still out on Lucca, Buckley, Mann, and Eikmeier...time will tell if we get the desired results out of these guys as they mature, but I'd certainly say McDermott has landed talent, whether it's been highly recruited guys or sleepers.

So what are the odds that GMac is recruiting this kid:

Kid's got some skills... and the commentary guy says he runs a mile in 4 minutes 50 seconds (which would be the record for 11 year olds). Might need to grow a few inches though...

I already brought this up...right now, he's only being recruited by Washington and UCLA...only. lol.

Re: 2011 recruiting

ISU is also recruiting 2011 Chicago prospect Mike Shaw. I'm pretty sure they've offered. He is a top 10 '11 player on both scout and Rivals.. right now, I wouldn't give us much of a chance, but you never know.

Wisconsin High School Boys Basketball / Youth Boys Basketball
Jesperson maintains a 3.0 grade-point average and is beginning to receive strong recruiting interest from a number of NCAA Division I schools.

Coaches from Creighton, Iowa State, Northern Iowa, South Dakota State and UW-Green Bay have been on the Merrill campus this fall to watch Jesperson compete in open-gym sessions
