Schedule is out

We have some young guys that need some wins before conference play starts.

True, I just wish we weren't saying it for the third straight season.

I haven't renewed my season tickets yet. I'm still debating whether to do so. High gas prices and a junk schedule aren't helping the case to re-up.

Guessing that requiring ticket renewals prior to the release of this schedule was a planned event. 5 bucks a game for the 100 dollar tickets is just about right with that sched.

hmm.....i have a good friend who just moved to hawaii for a job, and i've never been there. With thur and fri of thanksgiving off, i could have over a week of vacation in hawaii and only take 3 days off of work, and see a cyclone game..... interesting possibility....

How did ISU finish the bolded year? We have some young guys that need some wins before conference play starts.

I figured that would be coming and if you want to stick your neck out there and predict that go right ahead.

What I will say is that I don't think any of the games on our schedule this year will prepare this team to play KU, Oklahoma, Texas, OK State or Baylor.

With a soft Non Conference Schedule in todays NCAA Tournament Seletion you better be ready to win some conference road games and beat ranked conference opponents. I don't see this schedule helping up get there.

I don't see us being in a position where we need to worry about RPI.

If we somehow manage to surprise, the conference will take care of things.

Sure I'll bite...I was pointing out how your post had zero relevance to how a team is playing at the end of a season. I understand from a fan stand point bigger named schools would be more appealing to watch. I've already gone on record, I don't see us below 20 wins.

I disagree completely. Your non conference games should put you in a position to be competitive in conference and provide an opportunity to make a post season bid. If not what else is the point?

I'm guessing online/Clone Zone style watching. If you go to big12sports.com they are launching an online Big 12 Network where you can watch a lot of programming over the internet.

5. One of the in-state rivals
6. Oregon State
7. Jax St.
8. SDSU
9. Mercer
10. SIU Ed
11. Houston Baptist
12. vs. Colorado

I'm having a really tough time coming up with 8 more.

We are going to need some huge marquee wins to have a shot at making the tourny. Kansas at least once, at Texas, at Texas A&M and a couple games in the Big XII tourny.

If we don't make at least the NIT with this schedule, that would be disappointing.

We've won 4 road games over the last two years by a combined 19 points. 0-6 vs. MVC. 1-5 against in-state rivals.

I'm guessing somehow this will mysteriously change with a younger, less experienced team?
