One thing I can guarantee for this year, we are finally going to act like a "team" both on and off the floor.
I'd like to believe you but there were loads of people telling us about how great the chemistry was going into last season as well and then once it was over all we heard about was all the me first guys on the team. I also agree with Palmer - things need to happen this season to get the fanbase energized. We lost 4 season ticket holders from our group. It's down to my wife and I and one of our friends now.
We downsized our lot of season tickets too. It was hard to give them away towards the end of last year. I admire some of your optomism but you have to realize that just about every fan base is optomistic going into the year...

Bryce makes a good point here. We've all heard the "this year is different" speech all too many times - in multiple sports both at ISU and elsewhere. Realistically, team leadership and chemistry can just as easily slip or at least remain static from year to year. Coaches usually have a good feel for the situation, but neither they nor the players are going to call attention to a downward trend. Blasting leadership and chemistry is usually reserved for after the fact as part of the hype for the upcoming season.
I'm not saying that the optimism about upcoming teamwork is misguided, just that we'd probably hear the same thing even if it was way off base.
“I’m just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard,” Eustachy joked. “If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, he’ll be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.”
The only big change is Coach/Philopsphy/system and what it will do to allow those players to excel. I don't see them winning the MVC again, but they should definately be a 20 win team and win the Big 4 again.
Let's see...players all recruited for one system, coach hired specifically because he espouses a radically fifferent school of thought. Yeah, that usually works out, right?

I can't speak for chemistry, but I do know that the recurring doubt of "Is Wes healthy? Will he be our leader, our focal point now? Or do we have to reshuffle?" is gone. Not that losing a healthy Wes doesn't hurt like hell.
I can say that is appears that this team has a far better balanced roster, most notably not lacking in talent up front, or (hopefully) at point. Those are things that are promising to me.
