My guess he will come out unstoppable for the first few games, struggle a little after that and then be a pretty dominant force by mid-January.
I can't wait to hear the ovation when he announced as a starter for the first time...
I will accept nothing less than AP player of the year and subsequent #1 NBA draft pick. :-)
Realistically, I see him being the second coming of Fred Hoiberg. Pretty similar size and shooting form. Both very heady players, with a nose for the ball. But, similar to Fred Hoiberg as a freshman/sophomore. Not the all conference/all american he became as a junior and senior. At least not right away. I've got high hopes for Lucca, and believe he will make us forget all about Wesley, with rebounding maybe being an exception. But something tells me he will be adequate at that aspect as an off guard...
Lucca, boy, he's been pounding the pavement all around Europe; he's a well-traveled guy. All-around Europe, back-and-forth between the U.S. and Germany, seems like he'd be a pretty tough road warrior by now.
