Michael Shaw-2011
Michael shaw wants to visit some time this year, on an unofficial. One of the top 5 players in the country in his class, from the state of Illinois. Coach D-Rob is doing a great, great job. If we somehow landed a combination of Shaw, Chasson Randle, Tavian Pomlee, and Sam Thomson (A 2011 Illinois kid that likes ISU) we would have a top 2 national recruiting class. Possibly better than 2010's, even.
Here's Shaw and Thompson's profiles.. ESPN - Mike Shaw Rankings, Grade, News, Stats - College Basketball Recruiting 2011 Mike Shaw - Basketball Recruiting Scout.com: Sam Thompson Profile -

I like the number of the players we have in the mix. Higher numbers mean a better probability of landing one. I'll refrain from being excited until any of these guys score their first point for ISU>

Re: Michael Shaw-2011
Hard for me not to consider a dominoes effect. . . .
I'm guessing great players want to play with other great players who complement their games. Might not an HB commitment to ISU make some sort of impact on the considerations of some 2011 recruits?
Must be some sort of factor there, although I'm clueless, of course, about how powerful that factor might be. And, it no doubt translates differently from individual recruit to individual recruit.

I don't know about dominoes but HB committing would have no negative repercussions. -

Re: Michael Shaw-2011
I can see where some players might not want to come because he is so good, and they won't get the ball as much
