Quote about our coaching staff...

From a former recruit's parent. We ended up not offering his son, and he is going somewhere else, but this is what he had to say about the staff:

I hope your fanbase knows what a quality coaching staff they have.
They are building the program the right way, which may take a little
longer, but will be solid for the long term if Iowa State is patient.
No shortcuts, no cheating, just good honest hard work...

Ummmm... Thats good we are building the right way. And that is a great compliment... We still didn't get the guy, so what does that say????

Apparently we didnt need him. So the fact that they complimented the coaches even though we didnt offer, says alot.

yeah well Gene is THAT good. he recruits enough guys to fill his classes and helps out Greg on top of it all.

To be fair you really can't tell what forum it's in unless you really look if you click off the front page. Also considering we had something of a big game yesterday in football people have that on the mind.

I appreciate the post, but I wonder why you are so willing to support the bball program(which has yet to show appreciable improvement) but are willing to call Gene and staff out in posts? My guess is youthful exhuberance...

An infant could make negative comments about Saturday's coaching and it would have merit. BBall and football are mutually independant.

Because the coaching staff screwed up in the football game...and if the bball staff screws up, i wouldn't be afraid to say it.
