NHL teams need to be added to the favorite teams section.

And to cut down what Tubby Smith has done in his career is silly. He has won a national title, I don't care who recruited the players. He has never had a losing season, that is kind of a big deal. He is a heck of a coach.
    Great post!

If McDermott is not out trying to learn from others that have had tremendous success (and Tubby has had tremendous success everywhere he has coached), then we are in very serious trouble with him as our coach.

I was ready to respond to a prior post knocking Tubby for "winning a National Championship with Pitino's players" but I realized that anyone that would look at Tubby Smith's entire head coaching career and take a shot at him and try to marginalize his accomplishments is just beyond reasoning with.

I did find it interesting that those that started this thread seemed to indicate that it was some sort of honor that this HS coach asked McDermott to speak along with Tubby. I guess those posters must hold Tubby in pretty high regard. Do you think there is a thread on a Minnesota fan site somewhere out in cyberspace where the posters think it is an honor for Tubby to be asked to speak with McDermott?

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

I guess this fairly sums up the way, I feel about your consistent comments about Greg McDermott.....

If you're referring to me, I never equated Tubby speaking with it being an honor for Mac to speak there. It's just simply that you must be considered good at something to speak to coaching peers.

As you apparently feel the need to be argumentative and redundant in your posts, please carry on, but don't put words in my mouth. Look closely, I never praised nor denigrated Tubby's coaching abilities...that would be rude. I'm sure you'd never do that either.
