    He's the #9 all time leading free throw shooter in NCAA history. Obviously that makes him #1 at ISU with more attempts than anyone but Freddie.

    I think the love for him has some merit.

    Granted he was a defensive liability, but nobody's perfect.
    He was a totally one dimensional player. He played on weak ISU teams except for the Tinsley year.

    You also need to remember that the 3 point line was not adopted until 86-87 so it has only been around a little over 20 years. You give guys like Barry Stevens and Jeff Hornacek the three point line during their careers and I don't think Jake would be as high on any of the highlighted items.

    I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.
