I live in the Milwaukee region, and frankly I just don't get why kids would choose Marquette. It is a good jesuit school, but its location stinks, bad neighborhoods around it, parking stinks, although near downtown, it is a hike, housing is expensive here, the sidewalks are poor, has views of the lovely freeway system downtown, and its on busy roads. The best thing is the great music festivals. If you think Iowa winter weather is bad, at least you see sun. Last year over 100 inches of snow, and with lake effect, it is almost always grey and overcast and windy for weeks on end. I would say Iowa is colder, but sunny in winters.
Now, I am not saying I don't like it here, because we do. The countryside is magnificent, and the city has tons of culture. But it wouldn't have been on my choices of places to live when I was a teenager.
ISU's campus is special.

ISU's campus is special. Because they are really good at basketball.

Marquette is probably going to over sign...

So as I understand we would take either, but do we have a preference? I was always hearing about Smith as explosive offensively, but lately everything points to him as more of a lock down defender. Can someone compare and contrast Smith and Colvin's games?

I would second this. I was in Milwaukee for a buisness trip for a week and I experienced all that in that amount of time. It really made me appreciate Des Moines a little bit more. Not much, but just enough to know I wouldn't want to live there.
