Dean Wormer was wrong. Fat, drunk and stupid was a great way to go through college (all five years of it). -

The rumor had to do with LE's wife which isn't true.

He usually goes to coaches that have had great success (Coach K, Roy Williams, Self, etc.) and shows highlights of a practice and then has a sit down with the coach. I am always amazed at how physical and competitive most of these coaches make practice. For example, when Duke does a layup drill their players get hit with a football tackling dummy type pad by a coach or manager as they are finishing.
I have not been watching much ESPN SportsCenter this fall...is he doing this again this year?

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -

Izzo has them do rebounding drills with football pads, doesn't he? While he hits them with baseball bats! OK, no bats, but full pads.

Just about every team does that drill including our team.
As for McD and colorful language... when ISUFan22 and I went to the practice last year he wasn't like that at all then either. I think he takes a teacher approach over a disciplinarian approach.

They were taped, but they couldn't have been aired on cyclones.com or any other form or media.
