is off to his usuall start. I am starting to think Alex Thompson might be the greatest off season player in the history of sports. That guy just kills it in the offseason. If we could convince Alex it's the summer time and he is not really playing big 12 basketball yet a pick up game he could take it to a new level. Anyone go to the game?

Not bashing. Just wonder how the Alex thompson report for the summer always looks the same then he does not play anyting like that.
I like in the Vid of McDermott on Cyclones.com....when Alex catches the ball he stops him and tells him to count to 3 before doing anything.
I'd let it go dude. This has been going on ever since he played at Iowa. It's probably the reason why he was rated as a top 150 kid in just about every service.
At this point we know what we're going to get out of Alex and there's no reason to go down this path. We just need to hope Big Ham and some of the young guys step up and improve as the season goes on.

Definitely need AT...Not bashing him, but the problem is upstairs when in comes to the offensive end...Probably need him to talk to a sports psychologist.
I like him on the Defensive end. I think most do. Offensively he is tough to figure out.
AT is what he is - never really going to be able to expect much, if anything - from him on offense.
And at this point, unless the off-season has been very good to him, we're not going to be able to expect much from Brackins on defense.
Greg will have to use these two guys very wisely this year.
My guess is AT will be our best interior defender...can't fault a guy for that.
Anything on the offensive end is just a bonus in my mind.
Yep, don't expect much from him on offense and we won't be disappointed with the stats. I'll be happy if he defends and rebounds well. JVB doesn't exactly look like an intimidator down low.
Any chance we'll see CB, AT and JVB in the game at the same time?
Will his lack of Offense hurt CB because of double teams?
I've been saying that since he signed with ISU:wink:...10-15 minutes and 1 or 2 threes is what we are going to get out of him.Quote:
