A 1 year player? While I certainly hope for great things for this kid...pinning hopes on a 1 year player (and on the wrong end of 1 year players) seems a bit desperate? Hopefully he blows up and is a stud! I see injuries played a role in his career...hope those are a thing of the past!

Bad thing is, it will likely hurt our graduation rate as he will probably be one semester guy then go make money for his family...

This has been known ever since he originally committed. He broke his leg and took 2 years off of school. He has since come back and is planning on petitioning for a second year. Settle down, you just haven't paid attention until now.

Interesting to see that he's good friends with Kantrail Horton...
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection. -

Yep, he is a lanky small forward obviously signed to replace Wes Johnson for next year. He works out perfect for us with our scholarship situation.

Actually, if you read it, it sounds more like he wants his education, because as everyone especially this kid knows, the basketball thing can end suddenly, better to have the degree to fall back on.....
He's a short term fix - he gets his education and degree, a springboard to potential professional career and we get a dynamic scorer that can help carry us to begin building the success that may tempt Barnes who would be a great replacement for Gilstrap.
I see no problems with it, and who knows, maybe he gets his second year back.....a chance we can afford at this point.

It is hard to pay attention to recruiting because we get 30 names thrown at us and we end up signing 2 or 3 of them. I appreciate those that follow recruiting closely and pass their insights on to us via the board.
