UC Davis game

Hey guys, just wanted to stop by before the game tomorrow night. We are a new team from last year with a ton more talent, so don't look at our record and think it will be a cake walk. Guys to watch out for are Mark Payne, Joe Harden and Vince Oliver.

Boy, wouldn't it be great to start of the season with a home loss to UC Davis? That would be most enjoyable.

Good luck. I don't think this team can afford to take anything as a cake walk. I just want to see good chemistry and guys playing hard.

What is attendance like for basketball? Is it going to be a sellout tomorrow night?

Since it's UC-Davis, no chance. I'd guess 8,000-9,000 max.

Probably not even close, most of the early season games are about 3/4 full (capacity just over 14,000). Saturday's game may be closer to full (I hope) since there is a football game later that day as well.

Of course, if we were like our little sisters to the east (Iowa, for the new guy), we would claim every game is a sellout!

I bet it will be a pretty small crowd with the basketball game on Saturday before the football game. Either that or it will be a big crowd on Friday for the season opener and everyone will just tailgate during the BB game on Saturday.

We've only seen them play once and they looked fine. Most of us are hoping for an even record this year. Watch out for Craig Brackins, I think he'll have a break out season.

I'm guessing attendance will be anywhere from 8,000-10,000 (nowhere near a sell-out). And I'll agree with everybody else in saying that Craig Brackins is the main guy to look for.

I think that Justin Hamilton is going to be the most used newcomer (that is of freshman

), might not be the best but he will be the most used since this team lacks height.

yeah... the clone fans dont really come out en masse until conference season starts.

just looking at your roster i dont see anyone with the size and athleticism to guard Craig Brackins.

i would say look out for lucca staiger but he is coming of arthroscopic knee surgery and wont play a lot, so i expect Diante Garrett to play well, and wes eikmeier surprise people
