DM Register Coverage
I don't want to be a whiner about the DM Register coverage, as it has been well documented here. But, an article on the missing Link and his kids, and ticket sales for an unknown bowl game on page 1. With coverage of our b-ball team on page 3.

Re: DM Register Coverage
I dont care newspapers are dying a slow death and they are putting the nail in the coffin themselves. All the reporters are lacking effort and just dont do a good job...kids out of highscool could find better more compelling angles and stories than the joke-shows at the RAG.
And I think hawk fans would agree, its not more vs. less...hawk vs. Clones its about quality.

Iowa fans don't even care about Lickliter, so why do a story on him?

Re: DM Register Coverage
why does us beating UWM, two generally mediocre teams, deserve anything better than Page 3?

A definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again - expecting different results.

I have been to 6 or 7 home games this year (both in the stands and in the suites) and have had a good time at all but 1 (when they got blown out). The team is exciting to watch and are actually winning. Too bad they don't get crap for a crowd...

I haven't seen the Register today, so I don't know what was "ahead" of it, but I believe there is semifinals of HS football and the state volleyball tourney, both of which some would find much more interesting than an early season basketball blowout.

Re: DM Register Coverage
You do know there's the option to not purchase and read the paper right? Sorry, but it seems we hear this complaint a couple of times a month. I just get the feeling it's not going to change. So, why buy the paper? Has anyone let the Rag know how they feel? Maybe things would change if a large ISU contingent got together and told them they sucked. Of course their Newspaper people, so, they'd porbably just mock you for being illiterate as they climb the mast of their sinking ship.

What's the missing link comment mean? I don't get it.

Oh, I think I get it. Lickliter==missing link. (I thought you were talking internet link).
I don't see it, though. A three legged dog walks into a bar and says, "I'm lookin' for the man who shot my paw." -

I still can't believe that they are named the chops!!

Re: DM Register Coverage
Love the ticket sales article. I hope Barta reminds bowl officals that he sold 10K tickets to the Alamo Bowl 2 years ago. 5K to Hawk fans and 5 K to Texas fans after their allotment was sold out.
