Kelm shoots the three more than Dykstra, who has more post moves.
They are not the same player. They have the same dimensions but not the same skills.

They are not the same player. They have the same dimensions but not the same skills. Dykstra spent nearly the entire AAU season bombing threes.

Re: Kyle Kelm
Honestly the 5 star recruits are almost never misses. Sometime they are but mostly the recruiting people know the big boys. Usually 4 stars are right on as well. It's when they get to 3 star guys and 2 star guys. Sometimes they should be ranked higher than a 3 star or 2 star guy. They just don't have enough info on them. Sometimes the 3 star guys should be no star guys (Aaron Agnew).

Only a 5 star based on who offered...Not saying they're wrong...I'm saying there basing their opinion on the people who actually did their homework on a recruit.

I guess I'm just going on regular season stats. Also, I can only find through 7 games for Dykstra and 26 games for Kelm so it could be way off with the small sample size in Dykstra's case.
3PA 3PA/G
Dykstra: 4 .6
Kelm: 60 2.3
Again, could be way off. But I'm just trying to show my impression of each player. It SEEMS like Dykstra plays down low when it counts. He could have been practicing his perimeter play in AAU or I could be wrong and he is a perimeter player. I was just going on the very little that I have seen of him and the little stats I have to my disposal.

Which is probably a pretty accurate way to go about it... 5 star (and heck, even 4 star) rankings mean a lot, IMO. They almost always pan out.

Don't know where you are getting your info, but if you look back through the threads Harrison was a top 15 recruit last May, when he only had offers from us, Indiana State, and Iowa. After being evaluated throughout the summer he rose to 5*, so I don't think it had anything to do with offers.
Believe me, when we offered we knew exactly what we were getting (5*). Heard Coach Prioleau walked into a gym in Texas a couple years ago to see Harrison play and said to the staff, We haven't offered this kid yet and he's in our backyard? He's a pro. Wesley Staten (2012 - verbal commit) -

Not true at all. Those guys at Rivals are at every single tournament. They see thousands of guys play in every class.
Obviously they can't watch everyone play, but they are pretty good at eyeing talent

Re: Kyle Kelm
Okay...If you guys say so...
Maybe a question to ask is....If they are that good...Why are they working for a recruiting service?
They talk to the coaches......Recruiting services are just relaying information.
