Nice to see copenhagen is in midseason form.

Greg got a nice commit, no doubt about it. He gets Barnes and it might be a new era in Ames, IA. I think he's finally building something here. The last two years he didn't accomplish much in the grand scheme of things but were finally seeing the foundation being laid.

I just hope people don't get their hopes up too high this year. I've seen quite a few kool-aid posts on here regarding total wins for this team this year and that's troubling after playing 3 cupcakes at Hilton.

Yeah, posts like predicting undefeated in the non-conference are reasons that we will have giant meltdowns on this board for games this year. You'd think when 99% of the sports pundits out there pick us for dead last in the Big 12 in football and to have a season with not much more success than last year, that they can't all be wrong, but hey, believing 8-9 wins is possible anyway and then being furious when we don't get anywhere close is fun.

We need to support the team this year and watch the maturation. There are holes: inexperience, poor rebounding, bad free throw shooting, and soft inside play that we would have to fill before we could predict going undefeated in the non-conference season. I am waiting for Brackins to bring the killer edge every game like he did toward the end of the year last year, especially against A&M. Right now even when he gets 20, it is still pretty soft play. I want him attacking the basket and get away from his fades and baby hooks unless he is in deep, I mean real deep.

I'd love somebody to go back through cope's posts and point out one that was intelligible, made a good point, and did it without being a jerk. I seriously don't think one exists. I don't often rip guys like this but these threads are lame and shouldn't be started.

If every naysayer started an "I told you so" post after every loss it would get real old, real fast, and we've seen some of it and it's gotten real old, real fast.

It seems a little rude to do that on a day of real excitement among the fanbase. Let's take the chance that some people needed to see something to restore hope, and they got that yesterday.

Some of us that have Kool-Aid in our veins saw the hope already, and are being pushed to further enthusiasm by what we're seeing.

I'm sure there are some phonier individuals, and fair-weather types. Was this post really necessary to point this out?
