Re: What a heartbreaker!!!!
Help a radio guy out......2 timeouts and we still only get a running half court shot....what happened there? Oh I forget......why ask the question, it's Iowa State

It cannot be the coaching, it must be the talent....
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: What a heartbreaker!!!!
Looking at these threads, I don't know how the hell you get away with fouling someone with 2 seconds left while being up by 1... unbelievable.
This pretty much sets the tone for the rest of the Hawaii trip, unfortunately.

Did everyone really expect this to be an easy game? When you put a young team on a long plane ride and have them play at an odd time, there are going to be struggles. Lets hope they learn from this and go foward.

It's going to be a looooong year on the road again.

3 point shooting failed us. When it does, we will lose. It is that simple.

When we foul someone with 2 seconds left and up 1, then we will lose. -
Re: What a heartbreaker!!!!
I knew nothing but bad things could come out of that Hawaii trip. With such a young team, its just setting us up to fail. At least my man DG had a great game.

Lets hope they learn from this and go foward. I definitely did not expect this to be an easy game, due to all of those things you mention. However, once we had a 13 point lead in the second half, I expected us to hang on and win! I also expect our players not to foul with a 1 point lead and 2 seconds left. I guess that's what we get for making fun of the kid from Arizona who did that last week.
This is a tough one to swallow. A perfect opportunity to get rid of the "road monkey" early and we Cycloned it. -
Re: What a heartbreaker!!!!
Your heart can't break if you deserve to lose. Playing well and losing is a heartbreaker. Doesn't really apply here. I admittedly laughed when Craig fouled. Stupidest thing that could possbily been done other than throwing a punch. I hope he shakes it off but it's inexcusable and stupid. Of course we and he all know that.
NBA...whatever.

Yeah, if there are any positive signs out of this one, it is that DG is developing well. When people aren't hitting shots, he can take them himself. 26 points is great. Brackins only had 10 points and that isn't good enough. Craig is the centerpiece of this team.
