I guess **** is edited out for some reason. If you can't figure it out, I think they combine school districts with New Hartford, if I'm not mistaken?

This brings up some serious questions:

How do Panther fans feel about McDermott now? Is he a sworn enemy for bailing? Are they happy that he helped build a foundation? Do they feel they are in a better place without him?

I think its pretty mixed. He may get booed on Wednesday, but there is no real hatred there. Everyone is extremely greatful for the success that we had with him here, and I think most people realize that it would be dumb for him not to take the ISU job, considering how much more money he would be making.

ESPNU doesn't have an HD feed--at least not that I'm aware of. I would think the Iowa game on BTN will be in HD though.

I don't think Mediacom has BTN in HD, but Dish and DirecTV do.

If he hadn't gone to ISU, he probably would be at Iowa right now. And if not at either of those two, he'd be somewhere else. He was high on the coaching radar at the time. UNI couldn't afford to keep him there with all the options he had.

I'm not happy with what he has done so far. However, he is finally starting to win some recruiting battles with the signing of Colvin. I think that was a very big deal. I like Staten in 2012. I like that Kelm is interested and Dykstra is already committed. Of course Barnes would be a another great win.

Greg has not done well with the talent he has had. I'd say he had far less talent at UNI and did more. The difference we are starting to see is that the players who are sticking around and now signing seem to be more about the team and less about the individual. Team unity is an important thing. I'd bet those teams he had at UNI were a tight group that were only focused on the success of the team. You can only coach those who are willing to be coached.

I think the McLeod Center holds less than that. It's only about 7k capacity. At $40 a ticket, UNI might not have many more than 5k in attendance either. The Panthers are getting greedy.
