Lickliter gives Tucker the Boot
Iowa men's basketball: Tucker suspended 'indefinitely' | DesMoinesRegister.com | The Des Moines Register
Nice to see someone in Iowa City is coaching with some accountability.
Doesn't mention what event brought this about.

Re: Lickliter gives Tucker the Boot
Hawks say he was found passed out behind a bar.

Re: Lickliter gives Tucker the Boot
Yeah.... tough to read, given he looked like he was going to be an asset to the team. But I'm glad to see Lick coaching with authority.

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good. Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better. Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step. My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk,superdorf, clones_jer. That is all. -

Side note...I want to ESPN.com to check out Tucker's line and noticed a picture of DG in the bottom corner where it says team photos...clicked the link, notice the whole page of our pictures http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/teams/photo?teamId=2294 -

Re: Lickliter gives Tucker the Boot
Same thing happened to Bohall last year. If I remember right, he only played in more game the rest of the year, and then transferred.

The rules are different for good players (first rule of Ferentz).
Tucker will be back, and back quickly.
We need a CYBOOKIE line on his reinstatement!

Re: Lickliter gives Tucker the Boot
I think Lickliter's a different dude than Ferentz.
I say he's gone for quite a while, and has trouble breaking into the rotation if and when he comes back.

Re: Lickliter gives Tucker the Boot
At least someone knows right from wrong in Iowa City.(Lickliter)

Re: Lickliter gives Tucker the Boot
You know, they were saying that he was under the weather and that's why he was not playing/shooting well the past few games.
So he felt well enough to drink enough to (allegedly) have to go to the hospital to get his stomach pumped??
Hmmm...
