Re: On to the Hawkeyes
C'mon. I think we're all just in the dumps after Drake. I think we can hang with Iowa. I also think we'll win. I know it's not 2007, but we were terrible against Drake last year. What'd we do? Came right back and beat Iowa. Maybe...MAYBE...apples to oranges, but I suspect many of us saw a loss coming to Iowa after that game at Drake. Iowa is poor in the rebounding department. They live and die by the three. If they are not hitting, anything's possible. But remember this: Iowa is definitely not North Carolina and we are not Ames Jr. High -- the difference between these two teams is not what many are making this out to be.
I will take umbrage over those that question Iowa's "program" and its integrity. Say what you want about football, but what has Lickleiter done to show he isn't running a clean operation? I don't like Iowa, but I do think he's a class act.

Re: On to the Hawkeyes
Between Iowa's defense and our offensive droughts, we may be lucky to score 40 points. I don't see us winning this one.

Wanted to start a Look-A-Like thread, but looking at that roster their players are not standing out as celebs.

You're embarassing us. The pumps weren't clogged, the pipes under the field were. I suppose they just dug them up, stuffed them full of sand, and reburied them, with no corresponding damage to the turf, right?
CyShame, with that kind of turf, the pipes are set in sand to facilitate quick drainage. When there is constant rain for days, oh, say, when there is a FLOOD, the rain seeps into the pipes.

If Iowa blow us out it is going to be a longgggggggggggggggggggggggggggg season. It will be a close game.

Re: On to the Hawkeyes
I think it'll be a close game, at least until the end when one team has to start fouling the other. That is, if we can make our FT's. I see us losing a close game though... 31-27

I would sign up for that today. That would mean a win at Houston. Ill take that. I dont see us winning either. BUT I think at the end of the year we will have a better record than last year and be a much better team.

And, of course, the game is on the BTN. I hope that both teams get better so we can get a little better national coverage than that.

Re: On to the Hawkeyes
I would have to agree with most of you that our chances of winning friday aren't very good, but if we accomplish these aspects I don't see why we can't we this game.
1. Offensive production, (Garrett, Brackins, Lucca, bench scoring, and second chance points)
2. Defense, (Force turnovers, win the rebound battle)
3. FOUL TROUBLE, just can't have it.
4. Hustle, after loose balls and get back on D. Just heard last night on the radio that we looked sluggish you can correct me if I'm wrong those who watched the game.
