Hey Monty...why don't you add JP to your obsessive sig of Iowa players? I mean JP is the biggest crook of all of the players you listed. Whats worse...a kid drinking in public...or a man selling hope to a desperate fan base and then running it even further in to the ground?

JP All-Star theif! Put up the sig Marty.

JP has done everything he can. Our problems come down to one thing: recruiting. Can't blame JP for that. GMac and Chizik both seem like personable guys so I don't think it's a matter of kids not wanting to play for them. I think the problem for GMac has been missing on some pretty good recruits (Stinnet, etc.) and the transfer situation. I'm willing to give him a couple extra years for those reasons alone, but I'm worried that he burned too many of his scholarships already and two more years won't be long enough to get in the kind of players we need. ISU hasn't had a PHYSICAL post player since Homan (which is also the last time we went to the NCAA tourney). I really think our hopes next year now ride on Justin Hamilton. We need Big Ham to get in the weight room. I hope he proves me wrong, but I don't expect much from Brackins anymore.

....for anyone who is interested, HB got shut down tonight. Only scored 6 on a mediocre Waukee team, although ames won 49-32

Recruiting for McDermott is going just fine. He did just pull in Chris Colvin a few weeks ago. One thing about his recruiting is that he is not going hard enough after big men. Maybe he thought Hamilton was the answer. If that scholarship is still available for Marcus Jordan, I'd say pull it and offer it to a Center. I don't care if it's just some mediocore 2 star prospect. If he's big and physical, he would be a ton of help.

I agree with awesome rick i think that Chris Colvin is an awesome pickup for us. He will be able to penetrate the defense and not have all of the attention be focused on Brackins. Colvin is a four star recruit and if we could get Marcus Jordan as well. If you look we are of high intrest to him in the recruiting process. Who knows what this team could do next year as for this year do not expect us to do anything
