Chasson Randle Info

One of the QC TV stations did a story and interview yesterday with Chasson Randle, Rock Island HS 6'-1" Soph. Listed ISU among the interested schools. His HS coach had a lot of good things to say about him including a 4.0 GPA. Randle said he and his parents have started looking at schools and that academics will be important. Same HS as Coach Robinson.

I saw that too, but man is he skinny. The good thing is he is so young he has time to put some meet on those bones.

Chasson likes ISU, I met him at the skills camp this summer, really likes Coach D-Rob. Biggest problem is his dad is a huge Illinois fan, but I've heard form some sources in Illinios that ISU has a good of a chance of anyone.

Caught Dan Pierson's interview with Chasson on KWQC last night. Seems like an articulate young man with his head on straight. Says academics are important ... his 4.0 gpa backs it up. Rocky's got a good program (they've produced a number of good roundballers including the Reid brothers ... Mike played at Colorado, Steve at Purdue).

Well Illinois is a very good school. If he is smart and an Illinois fan, they will be a hard school to beat out

Tracey Abrams commits to Illinois. He's an absolute stud, and I've heard that Illinois wanted either Abrams or Randle but not both, since they are both pg's in the class of 2011.

Kids like this make GMac well worth the hire. I'm still not too sure about his coaching abilites, but with his staff and his/their recruiting abilities, it may not matter a whole lot down the road. For instance, KU didn't need a coach last year. Those guys were just damn good.

He's visiting Iowa, but right now they're not in his top 3. But we are.

You made me think about the day both LA Pomlee and Justin Hamilton will be experienced and on the floor at the same time . . . potential power game there, right?

With DG and Chris Colvin dishing it, and Lucca and Ike shooting it?
