Iowa State has increased its recruiting efforts in Chicago with the addition of Daniyal Robinson to the staff.
So it should come as no surprise that the Cyclones have agreed to play in the Chicago Invitational Challenge next season the weekend after Thanksgiving. Also in the field will be Notre Dame, Saint Louis and Northwestern.
Northern Iowa played in the same event this season.
I looked at UNI's schedule, Thanksgiving was on the 27th this year and UNI played on the 28th and 29th. Were there any games on the 30th (Sunday)? UNI didn't play one, but they lost one of their games - not sure if that impacted how many they play.
I like the fact that were doing this. We need to get in more tournaments like this
