Does GMac get extra rope because of Pollard?

The Chizik hire was an epic failure. There's no way to argue it.

The GMac hiring is an epic failure thus far with no signs of turning into even below average.

Does GMac get extra rope to to hang himself with because of Jamie's prior failure with Chiz?

I think he probably does.

I know. I know. Most people thought that the Chiz was a great hire and most people thought the same of GMac.

Who cares? That's not the point. We're not the AD. We didn't get the opporunity to interview them. It's not our job to make great hires. It's Jamie's and he's failed so far.

Obviously Jamie is going to give him every chance to right the ship. He only looks worse if he loses his basketball coach as well. He waits too long and he's going down with the ship, though.

You don't fire a basketball coach in the beginning of his 3rd season. GMac will have AT LEAST until the end of next season to right the ship, so get used to it.

wiscocyclone- Ripping on Morgan doesn't make GMac look any better. In fact it only reminds us of how much more successful Morgan was compared to GMac (winning records, post season wins, knocking off top 10 teams at home and on the road, etc).

You can't prove that LE or WM or anyone could have done better with the players that GM has had to put on the floor. If WM's recruits hadn't decided to run away when the going got tough we may be in a much better position right now, but it can't be proven. People need to face the fact that the team was collapsing under WM and fully collapsed after his being let go.
