Hilton Magic?
Is there anyone out there who truly believes that Hilton magic is alive and well? I hate to say it but it’s dead. Now that Rhoads has been hired as the new football coach and we will be suffering through a few more losing season until he can turn things around, the JT stadium project need to take a backseat until we can start winning games and filling in the seats we already have. I think it’s now up to Mr. Pollard to focus on bringing back the magic back to Hilton. Does anybody have any ideas on how this can be done?
There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams -
Re: Hilton Magic?
I wouldn't say dead, but its missing right now.
H.U.C.A.C-- We're here to ____ ____ up! -
Re: Hilton Magic?
It's not dead! It may be dormant, hibernating, etc., but it's not dead. It only takes one big one for the Magic to return -
Re: Hilton Magic?
Give the boot to all the bad fans who don't do anything during basketball games. Just take their money. Make them audition for their seats. Then take video and have a mid-season evaluation to see if they are indeed being good fans. -
Re: Hilton Magic?
Season tix holder and the Hilton Magic is on life support with a small chance of recovery ! GMac style is to slow and boring

Re: Hilton Magic?
You want a starting point........put the students back where they belong...behind the benches. I know the big money donors like those seats better than behind the basket, but the advantage starts with the students. Not with people sitting on their hands. Because less noise means less of an advantage. Less of an advantage means fewer home wins. Which means a drop in donors. A drop in donors means less dollars......get the picture? It's a domino effect that starts with noise.....students make noise, put them back where they belong!

If it works for the students, why doesn't it work for the rest of the crowd?

Re: Hilton Magic?
Recent studies have shown that the level of Hilton Magic is inversely proportional to the number of threads about it and the number of dead horses being beaten in those threads. So we as Cyclonefanatics are killing it, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that our team sucks so bad that we lose to the SDSU's of the world. -

Hopefully no one signed a DNR, but it doesn't look good. I think McDermott's contract might actually have been the DNR orders for Hilton magic.

Re: Hilton Magic?
Git rid of Cyclone Alley, let the students be rowdy again.
“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.” -
Re: Hilton Magic?
Ask yourselves this question: If a hail mary, Christian Laettner-esque pass is thrown up to Santa, Superman, a rapper without tattoos, and Hilton Magic, who catches it?
Hilton Magic, because none of the others exist.
Like the oiled sax player in The Lost Boys, I still believe!
What do you mean, "Flash Gordon approaching"? My Policy: No stone throwing regardless of housing situation.* -
