And you lost me here. People who think Pollard needs to go are ******* stupid. Nevermind the fact that our athletics department as a whole is as strong if not stronger than it's EVER been.
Agree 100%. Before Pollard we were heavily reliant on State funding, and now that it's being cut, we should be pretty happy that we're almost non-reliant on it. That's pretty much thanks to Pollard.
Did he **** up royally with McDermott? Absolutely, but he's done a very good job in almost every other area. Much more so than his predecessors.
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection.
If our athletic department is doing so well, how come we don't have the money to fire a lame duck coach that is obviously doing a horrible job and making a mockery of the program?

Really, you're going to try and claim the stature of our Ath. Dept. hasn't increased significantly because we aren't dropping $3.5mil+ to replace this coach and get a new one?

Because basing the current state of the athletic department soley on the premis of wether it can buy out a coach is not the correct metric to measure. Don't confuse unable to buy out with not willing to do a buy out.
You need to look at the big picture, not just one detail of it.
Make no mistake the ISU athetic department on a whole is in the best shape it has been in, in a very long time. Still needs improving but overall it is headed in the right direction.

Okay, I know this is really, really, really nit-picky, but I think this is the third time I've seen you misspell that word. It's "premise" with an "e" at the end. Sorry, I don't mean to be the spelling police, but that one jumps out at me, and once is a typo, but three times...
