New Year's Wishes
Maybe it's been the last two wins, or the thought that we have some good recruits coming in, or maybe its just the new year... but I'm feeling like we're on the right track.
However, I do want to temper my expectations. I won't say NIT or NCAA- No, I'll stay away from that yet. What I would like to see as conference play comes about that will confirm my good feelings is: 1.) Conf Road Wins. Let's just say.... 2. Maybe the ones we should win: @ Colorado, and @ Nebrasky. We have got to get the monkey off our back. 2.) An upset vs. a top 3/4/5 team in the conference. This would indicate to me that Coach McDermott can coach "up" the team. 3.) Someone besides Brackins emerge as a consistent and competent scoring threat. If he continues to be the majority of our offense, I see double teams and low- scoring efforts in our future. 4.) Young talent such as Eikmeier and Buckley develop confidence and consistency.
Thats it. I won't hinge my satisfaction on a particular number of wins, or post-season invites, Just those four factors.
What do ya'll think? What do you want to see to consider the season satisfactory and indicate the McDermott and the team are progressing?

An offense. That'd take care of a ton.

Someone not named Craig that can create and finish their own shot.

What I noticed and liked last night was how he was patient and finding open guys when the double team came, hadn't seen that much before last night. He keeps this up, with improved play from Big Ham, the post double can be contained
