Maybe I am experiencing deja vu, but I swear I have seen this article before, maybe a couple of years ago.

Re: 7 basketball heavens
Yeah, saw this awhile ago. What used to be.

It was a year ago, it's dated January 13, 2008

Re: 7 basketball heavens
Let's get "this Magic" back to Ames this year by making a Big 12 run and pushing for the NCAA. I know are best chance of postseason play is the NIT, but just sayin'.

Re: 7 basketball heavens
That article was absolutely true back in the day...but those days are long gone. In order to get it back, we need about 3-4 more top 75 players and schedule up in the coming years. I just hope it happens sooner rather than later because attendance is slipping as well as enthusiasm.
Colvin and Gilstrap are top 75 players
Dykstra and Barnes (Please) would be the next 2.
I don't know much about Kadima, but he seems to be putting up some good numbers.
Estimated return of the Magic = 2010.

Estimated return of the Magic = 2010. Actually back in the Johny Orr days when "Hilton Magic" was coined we had very few top 100 players. The crowd is what helped us win the games, not just the players.
Back when we had top 75 players, crowds were already slipping..
