i watched them play missouri yesterday on ESPN2. they are extremely guard oriented. they will be a quick team and i noticed that they liked to go with a 4 guard look at times to speed up the game so i think i would be an advantage for craig because they dont have much post talent from what i saw. it will also allow us to go with 4 guard looks like Garrett, Petersen, Staiger, and Eik or Buck or Booz or any guards like that without giving up too much rbounding
Its all about who can force the other team to play their style. If we can play a zone and defend them, we could then try to impose our big men on them offensively.
It would also be nice to play Hamilton and CB and force them to try to guard that.
If we can just figure out a way to guard them with those guys on the court.
Couldn't agree more. We shouldn't "down-size" our line-up to match what they put on the floor unless they are making us pay. I really hated when we did that against Iowa. Our zone was working and we still decided to go with a 4 guard line-up which in my opinion, cost us.
You should never down-size your line-up to match the other team unless they are exploiting you on the offensive end in my opinion. Keep Ham and Craig in there and run a 3-2 defense...
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?
Yeah, their guards will probably eat our guards, so that means our inside people better be serious about going to the rack. No wimpy inside play needed against nebraska. Just go get them.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.
the main reason i said to put in our 4 guards is for in moments like yesterday against Texas when craig got in foul trouble or ham or someone if they get in foul trouble, besides those two we dont really have a low post scoring threat so thats why i said to bring in another shooter perhaps to keep the scoring ok instead of bringing in Vanderbeken or Thompson who doesnt score much even in mismatches

I wasn't disagreeing with you at all. I agree with your assessment. It will be nice to throw in another guard if needed and not lose anything defensively. I just hope we don't go with a 4 guard line-up right away. Make them pay for being small.
