Can anyone explain why Boozer is getting minutes and Buckley isn't? This seems absurd to me. I have a feeling if he doesn't get any minutes the rest of the season he is going to leave.
When? Next season? You can't tell me that Boozer is better than Buckley. Buckley has quicks, handles and from I have seen can get to the rack. Boozer really can't be honest with yourself.
After Haluska took that terrible running jump shot on the press break I thought for sure Buckley would come in...
Boozer has made some of the better post entry passes on the team...
I think I will put my trust in GMAC in who plays and who doesnt. Buckley has shown times of brilliance but also struggled at times. GMAC has said that Buckley is coming into focus with the games but not quite ready. I understand the board is a place to vent and give opinions but sometimes you need to sit back and understand there is more to what you know and believe.
I like our chances to win @Mizzou and KU at home more than @ CU.
Back on topic, I think we really have to take games one at a time with this team. After all, they're clearly learning and growing together (with the emphasis on together) with each game, and will still have some setbacks when least expected.
On the other hand, this is hardly the same team that lost to SDSU five or so games ago.
Not sure if people realize it takes about a month of doing things right...in order to break a bad habit. So coaches are breaking the young guys down and then build them back up. Big reason we have seen so much improvement in Hamilton...He didn't have any bad habits.
Boozer brings good D, is physical and has a nose for the ball that is why he is seeing the court.
If I had read that 3 weeks ago, I'd question what you had been taking lately.
His D had been awful, which is why I believe he had not played up until recently. That and chucking it when he was in the same zip code as the hoop.
I think his resurgance has been due to the fact that he realized, or was told, that he would not see the court unless he became a roll player.
He is a decent rebounder, gets to the glass (when he isn't the one who shot it).
Is quick and a decent defender when he knows that is his calling.
