New Basketball Intro

For those who were in attendance, what'd you think? Did the players even know about it? They all seemed to be watching the video too.

I think it put the crowd to sleep for a second. That song doesn't exactly get me pumped up.

Basically they showed a new video with a different song playing, and then it went into what it always has been.

If anyone knows the name of the song, feel free to post. Not my genre.

I thought it was not a good intro or intro song, it definitely kind of knocked us all out. Especially in between introductions.

They did the same thing for the Twister Sisters last Sunday prior to the OkState game.

The Big 12 sets aside 2:00 for player intros, followed by a 1:00 break/timeout prior to the tip. King Karl (WBB PA) has a tendency to blister through both teams' starters in about 40 seconds, so the 1:00 break becomes a 2:20 borefest.

I'm glad they put a video in there. Actually, ANY fill would have been welcome.

I went to a KU game last week at Allen Fieldhouse. I am a KU hater, but they played a video that sent chills down my spine. It was awesome!

i thought the video was too long, it was like a sermon at church where they could have stopped it several times and got their point across. part of it might have been that no one was expecting it

I thought it was a sweet video, but not the right time to play it, maybe a better time would be before they came out of the locker room.

We're thinking that a short, fast-paced video (20-30 sec. tops) like this one with a short phrase at the end could be good. Put a countdown clock on the screen, too, and at the :00 Cyclone Alley could yell "Let it rock!"
Then the cheers dominate the home team introductions.

And, yes, both the mbb and wbb videos are too long.
