Ames vs. Waukee

harrison put on a clinic in the first quarter. and i doubt ames would have won state last year. City High was way to good, as was Dav. Central.

i did love how the waukee student section cheered for every shot he made in warm-ups and chanted "over-rated" every time missed. it was funny.

this year's version is a lot better. and im not saying Ames couldn't have won, im just saying they would have to beat some teams that were better than them.

.....if only waukee had ANY guards who could play. the Ames backcourt dominated.

city high last year was sooo good it was ridiculous... i think ames would be better served with McDermott in the starting lineup btw. hes really solid in there.

weber doesnt do much for me either... i think ames best line up is

PG: Palo
SG: Pritchard
SF: Barnes
PF: McDermott
C: Kohler

but thats just from the 2 times i have seen them this season

i think weber is a good player. hes creative on the break and a good shooter and tremendous at finding harrison in transition

yeah, i agree. weber is a solid start. very unselfish and one of our best 3 point shooters

I was at the game and just let me say WOW once again HB you are amazing. How about that off the back board from weber to HB for the dunk that was sweet!

Waukee had no chance Ames is just way too dominate! O and btw i was not impressed with the "twin towers" at all....

the assistant coach Vonbeheren told me downs likes to have veterans on the court most of the time. also i think Wandlin should be getting som more minutes

wandling is a joke. that kid should stick to football, and even there he needs work.

he's a selfish player. all he does it drives to the hoope trying to jump over 10 people to make a mid air windmill layup. hes all for show. besides he only scores in the last 5 mins with all the subs. he would suck in a real game situation.
