Re: Wow, We're Playing Against a Really Young / Inexperienced Kansas Team

According to Ken Pom, KU is the 12th least experienced team in the country (out of 344). ISU is the 143rd least experienced team in the country.

If ISU comes to play and plays physical, they'll be in the game in the second half. KU doesn't have the toughness they had last year. Chalmers, Robinson, Collins, and Jackson were all tough for KU last year. Now, I'm not sure I see much toughness outside of Collins and Aldrich, which has showed when KU is away from its home crowds.

KU is very beatable, unless ISU talks themselves out of it.
I agree they are very beatable. In fact, I feel like ISU has a good chance to win this. Kansas is going to get better through the season just like ISU has. The difference, though, is they have 4 star talent nearly 2 deep getting better and we have a former walk-on as a starter.

I think we'll win but the talent difference is notable and shouldn't simply be brushed aside.

Right now I dont see the talent but then we never did have the talent to keep up with them. A must win is such a cliche'. If we win its because we play better than we normally do and they don't. If they play their A game like Missou did we dont have the personnel to keep up.

Unfortunately, Iowa State has had more "downs."

Kansas really only was disappointing against UMASS, other than that loses to Syracuse, Arizona and Michigan State are expected.

I'm pretty sure the Jay Hawks are better than most people think. I mean, 13-4 with a rather tough schedule looks good.

And with this worthless, grammatically poor post, you are going on ignore. I should have done it three days ago.

thank you. btw, i dont think being too young is that bad these days.

UCLA and Memphis both had freshman studs last year. well okay, neither team (isu or kansas) has players from the top 3, but teams like wake forest are making great use of young talent.

We should win in Hilton against every team unless they are in the top 15 or 20. Kansas is far from that.
Yes, the team should have a "must win" mindset. How else do you win the 50-50 games? Arizona was down by three at the half, then came out and buried KU. They didn't do that by telling themselves they couldn't match KU's personnel. They did it by not "letting" Kansas play their "A" game.
As other posters have said, this is the year to get them, and send a message to Barnes, among others.

Yeah, we should win all of our home games except for Oklahoma and maybe Baylor

Looks like we didnt accomplish what I had hoped. 26pts & 16pts/12 rebs arent good for us.

'85- I would take 26 pts and 3 turnovers anyday, yeah overrated
