Pretty sure we had more assists per game under Morgan than we have under McDermott...

I still say LSU had more talent on their roster than anyone. If they didn't have the twit Miles for a coach they could have repeated.
I agree with everything you just said. Especially Miles being a twit

Oddly enough, and ppg, too. The two are kind of related, you know.

Are you really asking that? He was not only a freshmen last year but a 140 lb one. This year he has experience a little more strength.

If you don't think McD would scrap his system for HB than you are wrong. It wouldn't be a total overhaul but there would be some changes for sure

Wayne Morgan's last year we averaged 16.5 assists per game, this year so far we're averaging 15.3 assists per game. That's a whopping 1 more assist per game, huge disparity. That's where the 1-on-1 mockery comes from, because every other play really was let Stinson or Blalock do what they want. This team looks for the open man more than Morgan's team ever did. I am in no way a Morgan hater either. I thought he should have been given one more year.

I will take Stinson taking it to the hole 9999/10000 times over the pull back, wait and chuck a three with a few seconds left...

Stinson and Blalock were some of the most unselfish players to have played here, that last year they just didn't have anyone else that WANTED to score so Stinson had to do more himself, much like Taylor the next year...

I agree w/ you. I just think that had a lot more to do w/ them as players than Morgan's offense (assists)

I don't think it will be important who starts at PG next year. What stands out to me is that we will have three good point guards that have different talents. DG can take advantage of his length against smaller players, Buckley can use his strength to get to the hoop, and Colvin is clearly going to be the most explosive and may be able to do it all.

I really like the potential mix we will have next year at PG and as a whole.

    Re: Watched Chris Colvin play

Does Colvin do a good job at rebounding the ball as a guard? It is important to be a decent rebounder when you are a guard like Petey is for us. I REALLY like to hear that he is explosive around the hoop that is something we need and another good shooting guard to add to the ones we have now, excellent. The future here is getting brighter!! Chins up!!

Uh no, and I have no idea why you would jump to that strange conclusion based on what I posted.

I am in the "Iowa State's offense is not exponentially more complex than other college basketball teams' offenses" school.

Yep. We scored a whole lot more points under Morgan, so I see little reason to trash his offensive sets.
