Just a heads up for anyone planning on going to the game tonite, its been canceled due to high winds. Its too bad to because self and his staff were supposed to be there tonite

Highway patrol is reporting more tha 50 vehicles in the ditch around Ft. Dodge area. Winds are causing low visibility and drifting. Roads are snow and ice covered.

I talked to my mom earlier and she said it was damn near a whiteout in northern Iowa at different times today (which is why some school were let out early)

Yeah! Don't be picking on Dodge. Besides, we're owed a few cancellations from over the years when the Valley's of the world see a cloud out their window at 11AM and call to cancel.

I live near Fort Dodge and drove to West Des Moines today through the bad roads. I didn't think the roads were too bad, but it definitely wasn't good. We have much more snow on the ground than those south of about Stanhope. Our ditches are full and the snow is blowing around. In Des Moines there is hardly any snow. I think it was awesome Self was not able to watch him play. I can handle if Barnes goes to an ACC school, but another Big 12 school would really bite.
